Tubbataha lies slightly east of mid Sulu Sea, between Palawan and Mindanao. Declared as a World Heritage site by
UNESCO, it is actually two large atolls. Each has an extensive reef system, with lagoons and an incredible diversity of marine life. The northern reef, called “Bird Island” because of its population of
boobies and terns, is the larger of the two atolls. The southern reef’s islet has a white lighthouse on it. In the shallower water you can see young barracudas, |

sweetlips, butterfishes, catfishes and snappers. Diving deeper you suddenly arein the mid of eagle rays, swirling
